FLUSH presented our class on sewers & fatbergs this week with a healthy number of students asking great questions. We got questions about if they could put coffee grounds into the sewers (nope), what happens with fatbergs when they're removed (it depends), and what kinds of animals live in the NYC sewer systems (mostly eels).
One of our attendees is working on a college paper about sewers and fatbergs and was inspired to make an infographic about NYC sewers fatbergs for their project. Please enjoy this fun infographic we'll now consider the TL:DR of our sewers class!
