THE HISTORY OF TOILETS * (Adults)
This class explores the long and fascinating history of toilets, from ancient Mesopotamia to today. We also learn about how even in current times, toilets are not so common as we often think they are, why that is is, and what is being done about it - from Cambodia to San Francisco.
INFECTIOUS DISEASE AND TOILETS (Adults)
We discuss the relationship between infectious disease and access to toilets. We explore the importance of toilets, its role in spreading infectious disease throughout history, and different kinds used to decrease the spread of disease, as well as how different countries rank in toilet access.
SEWERS 101 * (Adults)
In a brief journey through the sewer and drainage system of urban places, we walk through the sanitation systems that keep our city going. We also discuss what fatbergs are, what we’ve done to make them possible…and what we should do to make them go away.

This brief class/workshop discusses how local government capacity development support sanitation markets. We explore the psychology of learning and what local government workers need (and want) to learn.

TOILETS AS AN ENVIRONMENT HERO * (Adults & Kids)
This class explores how the toilet can free the environment from major pollutants and protect places that are vulnerable to climate change. We'll learn about our hero's villain - under-managed waste - and how it can unravel much of the success of sanitation efforts.

THE SAFETY OF PUBLIC TOILETS (Adults)
In this social justice class, learn about the journey of public toilets as a safe space in the Western world. We'll learn about who needs better safe spaces, where we can learn from, and ways to advocate for public toilets in our communities.

TOILET BASICS FOR YOUNG CHILDREN (Kids)
This is a short and sweet, animated class to teach young children the basics about toilets, including why we have them, and what happens after we flush - on Earth and also in space!
We have this class available for children in age groups 3-6 and 7-10. These classes are available on OUTSCHOOL
TAMING TOILETS: PLUMBING BASICS (Adults & Kids)
This class explains the basics of plumbing, including what plumbing entails and its long history. During the class, participants also learn about the journey of plumping pipes outside of the home. At the end, we will explore ways to grow the inner plumber in all of us with some basic practical knowledge about keeping our plumbed pipes healthy without needing to call a plumber.
SANITATION IS A WOMEN'S ISSUE (Adults)
In this social justice class, learn about how sanitation is a women's issue, and how the future of sanitation is feminist. We'll cover access to toilets at home, at work, in school, and in public spaces.
